Canadian Healthcare Leadership Experience
This annual opportunity helps a talented Pakistani nursing student gain exposure to international healthcare practices, learn about the Canadian healthcare system and observe innovation and best practices.
Through educational exposure, professional mentorship and international learning, the scholarship aims to develop future healthcare leaders who can share what they learn with fellow nursing students in Pakistan.
What the Experience Includes
A month of healthcare learning, professional development and cultural exchange in Canada.
Hospital Exposure
Guided visits to Canadian hospitals and healthcare facilities, with shadowing and observational learning opportunities subject to hospital policies and approvals.
Healthcare Orientation
Sessions cover patient-centered care, infection prevention, healthcare technology, clinical documentation, quality and safety standards, and interprofessional teamwork.
Development & Exchange
Professional development workshops, cultural exchange and networking opportunities are part of the experience, along with a Certificate of Participation.
Selection Criteria
The award recognizes academic excellence, leadership potential, community service, commitment to advancing healthcare in Pakistan and strong communication skills.
Bring Learning Home
The selected student develops professional leadership skills and shares knowledge from the Canadian experience with fellow nursing students after returning to Pakistan.
